A highly significant project completion milestone was reached just under three-weeks ago, when the new Woodlands Meed College building received its Building Control Completion Certification on 20 February. This mandatory certification means that the building is compliant with all relevant Building Regulations and Approved Documents.

The very final stage of the construction process is achieving Practical Completion – where the client formally recognises that the building has been successfully delivered to specification. Over the course of the past two months, ISG has systematically offered up all areas of the building for detailed inspection by West Sussex County Council's professional team, and we're pleased to announce that these quality inspections are now coming to a conclusion. ISG is well-advanced addressing and closing out the outstanding elements from this process and we anticipate final inspections to be concluded in the near future – when Practical Completion will be formally served.

Through the course of these inspections, the Council and College have identified a small number of instances where a revision to the original building specification would be beneficial to students and staff, and as a result instructions have been given to ISG to carry out this work. These additional elements are being progressed in parallel with the final 'de-snagging' activity.
