Building Woodlands Meed update

Since last week’s update, things have been progressing well as we finalise various elements of the build project for Woodlands Meed College’s fantastic new facility.

Rooms are beginning to fill up across the site, with equipment starting to arrive for the Design Technology Room, and loose furnishings such as tables and chairs being delivered for the building.

It's not just rooms that are filling up though, the new hydrotherapy pool is also being filled – with water! The water is currently a little on the chilly side as the fill is underway, but once it is all topped up it will then be warmed to provide a comfortable, therapeutic environment for young people with SEND.

In the sports hall, the floor has been cleared and prepared for the final finish to be laid.

Outside, the rubber crumb play surfaces have been completed to the terraces, and a new pergola has been constructed. The polytunnel is also being erected.

The finish line is now well in sight as we continue to apply the finishing touches to what will be a fantastic new learning environment for the students and staff of Woodlands Meed College. We will continue to provide you with updates as we approach the completion of the build project.
